Richard's degree thesis

We remember so many happy times with Richard, since we first met some 40 years ago through Martin Hall.
Richard’s determination and fortitude has been a beacon for us.
The way that he embarked on his architectural art history degree was tremendous.
We were so thrilled that he wanted to use our notes and photos of Herne Hill in his thesis, as an example of Edwardian suburban living.  Too true – the modern day Pooters (as in Diary of a Nobody) are still here!

Richard on the telephone in April sounded unchanged, even though he said that his brain was working at the speed of a 25cc Honda pizza delivery bike.
His ability to keep his morale up was quite amazing through his massively challenging period of treatment and uncertainty. It is hard to think that Richard is no longer with us – he is much missed.
